John has worked in the industry for over 30 years and is an expert in the fields of formulation, product scale up and process validation. He has successfully managed a variety of product transfers from sites within the UK to facilities in Slovenia, Germany and Canada.
He previously managed a successful formulation and analytical facility and during this period he led a team that developed and secured MAs for many novel veterinary medicinal products. He has a thorough, and up to date, understanding of all that is required across the areas of analytics, formulation, validation and regulatory affairs. He has successfully written between 10 and 20 pharmaceutical expert reports (detailed and critical summaries) and has extensive experience of interacting with regulatory authorities.
When not working John enjoys spending time outdoors and in particular fly fishing, gardening and hiking. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Society of Chemistry in March 1996

Neil has worked in the industry for approximately the same period of time has John. He has successfully led teams in all aspects of analytical testing of veterinary medicines when employed by Novartis Animal Health and latterly Elanco. He is an expert in the development and validation of analytical methods for drug substances, finished products and degradation products. He is also expert in all aspects of stability testing of both drug substances and finished products. He is particularly skilled at finding realistic solutions to complex analytical problems and is credited with the development and validation of several novel procedures.
Neil is an excellent technical writer and has written, and holds, an extensive library of GMP SOPs on analytical testing, validation and laboratory operations. He has performed gap analyses on a multitude of analytical documents and has a proven track record of successful troubleshooting.
Away from work Neil is a keen musician, photographer and car enthusiast. He has been a member of a pipe band for 40 years and continues to coach junior members. Neil was elected a Member of the RSC in 2001
